The Lions Club of Colombo LEADS proudly sponsored the sports meet at the Rehabilitation Center in Maggona, Kalutara, Sri Lanka. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our club members for their generous donations, which were crucial to the success of this event. Additionally, we thank the management of the Rehabilitation Center for giving us the opportunity to support and engage with their remarkable community. The event was a wonderful blend of athleticism, camaraderie, and joy, leaving lasting memories for all participants and attendees.

1 — WELCOME PARADE & OPENING REMARKS

The event began with a vibrant welcome parade, in which we had the pleasure of participating. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and anticipation. Opening remarks were delivered by the center’s management, setting a positive tone for the day’s activities.

2 — TROPHIES, MEDALS, GIFT VOUCHERS & DONATIONS FOR ACHIEVERS

We were honored to sponsor trophies, medals, gift vouchers, and donations for the achievers. This sponsorship aimed to recognize and reward the hard work and dedication of the participants, encouraging them to strive for excellence.

3 — ATHLETIC EVENTS

The athletic events showcased the incredible talent and determination of the participants. Photos capturing these moments were uploaded, highlighting the energy and competitive spirit of the day. From sprints to long-distance races, the events were a testament to the athletes’ hard work and perseverance.

4 — OTHER EVENTS (KIDS)

In addition to athletic events, various other activities were organized for the children. These events provided a platform for all-round development and fun, ensuring that every child had the opportunity to participate and shine.

5 — OTHER EVENTS (STAFF)

The staff at the Rehabilitation Center also took part in the events, demonstrating their commitment and enthusiasm. These activities fostered a sense of unity and teamwork, strengthening the bond between the staff and the children.

6 — INSPECTION OF HOUSES

Our club members, along with other dignitaries, participated in the inspection of houses created by the children. The creativity and effort put into these structures were commendable. Awards were given to the top three entries, recognizing the innovative skills of the young participants.

7 — PRESENTATION CEREMONY

The presentation ceremony was a highlight of the event, where certificates were handed out to all achievers. Our members were actively involved in presenting the awards, celebrating the accomplishments of the participants.

8 — DONATION OF GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers, sponsored by our club, were distributed to all winners and staff members. This gesture aimed to acknowledge their efforts and provide them with additional support and encouragement.

9 — PARADE INSPECTION, SELECTING OF WINNER, FIRST RUNNER-UP & SECOND RUNNER-UP

The parade inspection was a critical part of the event, where the best groups were selected. Awards were given to the winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up, based on their performance and presentation during the parade.

10 — CLOSING REMARKS

The event concluded with closing remarks that reflected on the day’s success and the positive impact of such initiatives. The speakers expressed gratitude towards all participants, sponsors, and organizers, emphasizing the importance of continued support and engagement.

11 — MUSICAL EVENING, AFTER THE MAIN EVENT

Following the main event, we organized a musical evening that brought immense joy to the children. The lively performances and music created a festive atmosphere, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the moment.

12 — ENDED-UP WITH MORE FUN

The event ended on a high note with a fun-filled evening, as captured in the video clip uploaded to our site. The children’s enjoyment was evident, marking the day as a memorable and fulfilling experience for all involved.
