Childhood cancer generally cannot be prevented or screened. It is a leading cause of death for children and adolescents around the world. Approximately 300,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. In 2019, only 20% of countries had early detection guidelines and only 33% had a defined referral system for medical resources.

  • The survival rates are 80% or more of developed countries and 20% or less of lesser developed countries.
