BLOOD DONATION PROJECT 2021-22
A Joint Effort with Region 3
In a remarkable display of community spirit and collaboration, the Lions Club of Colombo LEADS, in partnership with Region 3, successfully organized a Blood Donation Project for the 2021-22 service year at Sri Medhalankara Viharaya, Karagampitiya. This joint initiative aimed to address the critical need for blood supplies in our local hospitals, especially during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Held at Sri Medhalankara Viharaya, the project saw an overwhelming response from volunteers, club members, and local residents, all eager to contribute to this life-saving cause. Medical professionals and volunteers ensured that the donation process was smooth, safe, and efficient, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
Most of the Region 3 members participated in this noble endeavor, further highlighting the collaborative spirit of our community. The project was a testament to the power of teamwork and the shared commitment of Lions Club members to serve humanity. The collected blood units will undoubtedly make a significant difference, providing essential support to those in need of urgent medical care.
